Vegan Mom, raising vegan kids.

In this blog I will share how I veganized my Family’s recipe and the latest creations of my own. I believe we all have our own healing food,  and this is mine…. I hope you’ll try.

My name is Kristina!

I’m a mother of 3 wonderful boys and a self taught cook making homemade vegan recipes for my family.

“Nanay KC” was born after having my first child 8 years ago, now I have 3. Nanay means Mom in Tagalog. I became a mom. KC is the initials of my name.

I am Nanay KC.

My vegan journey.

I turned vegan more than 6 years ago due to various health conditions and obesity. As the months and years go by I educated myself about the health benefits of a Plant Based Vegan Diet.

From there I started eating high on fresh fruits and vegetables. From juices, to smoothies, sandwiches and salads. I was slowly getting the weigh off and feeling  more alive each day.

I was feeling happy but un-satisfied specially during colder days.

I was missing every homecooked meal.

And as a Filipino and an ex-heavy meat eater person, I was missing everything, every homecooked meals. From my mom’s spicy adobo, from my dad’s kilawing puso ng saging, from my brother’s sizzling sisig, and the smell of my neighborhood partying.

Thats when I knew I had to start re-creating my ROOTS.
